COMMUNITY IMPACT ASSEMBLY

The Community Impact Assembly, hosted by Profound Gentlemen, gathers over 100 male educators of color from around the country to indulge in an experience of “Creating Extraordinary Outcomes for boys of color” through sessions, site visits, and community engagement. This is an opportunity for male educators of color to network with other educators and PG partners, attend retreat-style sessions, and to fully surrender to their most authentic selves– personally and professionally.
In addition to the “Assembly” portion of our weekend, guests will engage in conversation with other male educators of color during our Networking Happy Hour and Sunday Brunch, explore the Charlotte community, and attend our Grand Finale Awards Dinner.
Gentlemen will also have the opportunity to shop and meet school partners at our PG Community Hub.

FRIDAY – Community Day (Starting at 1:00 pm EST)
Plenary Sessions – 1:00 pm – 3:00pm EST: Guests will engage in roundtable-style conversations to help educators receive support from industry executives on how to address a problem the educator may experience in their role. This opportunity will allow participants to receive focused advice on topics such as: becoming a principal, classroom management, school start-up, creating a non-profit, establishing school culture, working in high education, etc.

SATURDAY – Impact Day (Starting at 8:30 am EST; Food provided throughout the day)
Community Impact Assembly – 8:30 am – 3:30 pm – This year CIA will be held at our new PG House (Office) under an event tent with mini tents for breakout sessions. Participants will choose sessions based on one of three options: Character Development, Content Development, Community Leadership
PG Community Hub– 8:30 am – 3:30 pm: Visit vendors and school partners. Bring your resume and credit card! You do not want to miss out on the exclusive offers.
Explore the City of Charlotte – 3:30 – 6:30 pm: Visit some of Charlotte’s amazing attractions and use our exclusive PG Discount. A list of those businesses will be updated on our website.
PG Night of Impact Awards Dinner – 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm: The Night of Impact Dinner an opportunity for PG to highlight the work of our educators and partners (PG Globe style :))
SUNDAY – Sunday Networking Brunch (11:00 am EST) (21+ only)
Sunday Network Brunch – 11:00 am – 1:00 pm EST: We will close the weekend with a Brunch held under our tent! This is another opportunity for networking for all participants. All you can eat brunch buffet. Oh yeah, did we say mimosas also included?

Charlotte is home to all of the major rental companies. Free parking available at conference location, only.

Our conference offers robust training and sessions around teacher development that will impact an educators practices in the classroom. Many districts and schools offer professional development credits for attending our sessions and events.
Networks, districts, and educators who are interested in receiving PD credit should email Dominique@ProfoundGentlemen.org for a personalized letter.
The dress is casual for Friday and Saturday’s session. We encourage our Gentlemen to wear their school t-shirt, PG Apparel, etc. Saturday evening’s dinner is cocktail/semi-formal. Around March, Charlotte temperatures are around the 70’s. Click here to check our weather leading up to the conference. Also, keep in mind that the conference will be held in tents outside. Tents will be heated/cooled if needed.
